The Cherry Blossom Festival Begins at Kosanji Temple, a Tourist Attraction on an Island in the Seto Inland Sea

On the picturesque Nishiseto Expressway on the way to Ikuchi Island, in the Seto Inland Sea, the popular tourist spot, Kousanji Temple, will host its Cherry Blossom Festival starting from March 23, 2024 (Saturday).

Kousanji Temple, known for its all-white marble garden called the “Hill of Future Mind,” which has gained attention as an Instagrammable spot, boasts approximately 200 cherry blossoms in full bloom within its grounds during the cherry blossom season, delighting visitors.

An annual Cherry Blossom Festival is held in conjunction with the blooming of the cherry blossoms, featuring various events such as mystery-solving activities, photo rallies, and a photo contest. This year is no exception.

During the festival period, a special ticket called the “[Mankitsu Ticket]” will be available for purchase, which includes admission to the temple and a special dessert called the “Sakura-scented Pancake.” Visitors can enjoy these treats at the “Cafe Quore” located on the Hill of Future Mind.

The sale of the “[Mankitsu Ticket]” is available through the official website as an online ticket, and it is valid throughout the Cherry Blossom Festival period, which concludes on April 7.
