The nighttime illumination of cherry blossoms will take place at Citrus Park Setoda on Ikuchi Island, located along the Shimanami Kaido connecting Onomichi and Imabari, from March 23 (Saturday) to March 31 (Sunday) in 2024, marking the peak viewing period.
About Citrus Park Setoda:
Citrus Park Setoda is a facility on the island of Ikuchi, floating in the Seto Inland Sea. It reopened in 2022 as a place to enjoy outdoor stays such as glamping and a dog run. Within the park, approximately 1,300 lemon trees, the local specialty, are cultivated. Additionally, there are about 800 cherry blossom trees, including Somei Yoshino and Oshima cherry trees, making it a popular spot for cherry blossom viewing. The collaboration of cherry blossoms and the scenic beauty of the Seto Inland Sea is truly breathtaking.
Nighttime Cherry Blossom Illumination with Food Trucks:
Building on the success of the 2023 nighttime cherry blossom illumination, this year’s event will expand the illuminated area. During the weekends of the period, food trucks will gather, providing a gourmet experience for visitors.
The cherry blossom nighttime illumination will take place from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The event will be held in areas such as the event plaza.
