The bustling gateway to the famous tourist destination of Miyajima, Miyajimaguchi, will once again host the highly anticipated “36th Annual Ōno Oyster Festival” at [Boat Race Miyajima] on Sunday, February 2, 2025.

The surrounding waters of the venue are home to the premium Hiroshima oyster brand, “Ōno Oysters,” which are widely used by restaurants in Miyajima renowned for their delicious oyster dishes.

Following last year’s format, the festival will take place across two venues: the main site at Boat Race Miyajima and a secondary site at the Ōno Chamber of Commerce, where the “Machi no Eki ADOA Ōno” station will also participate.

Visitors can enjoy a wide variety of oyster delicacies at the food stalls, including grilled oysters served in the shell and hearty oyster udon, offering a true taste of Hiroshima’s prized seafood.

The festival will also feature stage events, including a special appearance by Sllyly, the Hiroshima Carp’s mascot, who will host a rock-paper-scissors tournament starting at 10:25 AM.

With unique activities at the boat race venue and the chance to indulge in the finest Ōno oysters, this festival promises a day of fun and flavor for all!
