The night event themed around the Edo period, called “Saigoku Tea and Bar,” will be held on March 15, 2024 (Friday) at Hashimotocho Park in Naka Ward, Hiroshima City.
The event is organized by the “Machinaka Nishiguni Kaido Promotion Council,” which aims to pass on the history of the Nishiguni Kaido, a major artery of the Edo period, to future generations. The event features stage performances centered around traditional Japanese instruments such as the shakuhachi and koto.
Gourmet booths will offer a lineup including Japanese sake, zenzai (sweet red bean soup), oden (Japanese hot pot), and more. Attendees can also enjoy interactive experiences such as “tosenkyo” where they throw fans at targets.
The event will take place from 17:00 to 20:00, providing a perfect opportunity for those returning from work to unwind and take a breath in the city.
