“Gasoline Grill,” the popular burger shop from Copenhagen, Denmark, that has been generating buzz, will make a limited-time appearance at Hiroshima Andersen on Hondori Street in Naka Ward, Hiroshima. This marks the brand’s first entry into Japan.
The pop-up will run for one month, from Monday, June 1, 2026, to Tuesday, June 30, 2026. This is a rare opportunity to savor globally acclaimed flavors paired with local Hiroshima ingredients.

The Prowess of a “Top 27 Burger” Recognized Worldwide<
Founded in 2016, Gasoline Grill is a highly acclaimed burger shop that was selected for Bloomberg’s “World’s Top 27 Burgers” list the following year in 2017. With a commitment to organic ingredients, local produce, and handmade preparation, it has garnered strong support not only within Denmark but also from international tourists.
The shop’s name originates from the fact that its first location was established on the site of a former gas station. It began with founder Claus Wittrop’s desire to recreate the taste of the hamburgers he encountered while studying in the United States.
Today, with locations at train stations, airports, and soccer stadiums, the brand operates 10 stores in Copenhagen and continues to strengthen its presence.

A Decade-Long Partnership Leads to the Brand’s First Entry into Japan
This first expansion into Japan is rooted in a long-standing relationship with Hiroshima Andersen. Since Gasoline Grill’s inception, the Andersen Group’s Danish outlets have been responsible for developing and manufacturing the buns. This decade-long collaboration has now come to fruition in the form of this pop-up.

The Secret to Deliciousness: Attention to Every Detail
This hamburger shines with a thorough commitment to every single ingredient.
Special Buns with a Chewy Texture
The buns are baked by the bakers at Hiroshima Andersen. By kneading in potatoes, they achieve a unique, chewy texture that gently envelops the flavors of all the ingredients.

Fresh Vegetables Grown in Hiroshima’s Climate
The vegetables are cultivated by Waki Farm in Higashi-Hiroshima City. With a focus on soil preparation, they provide tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, and white onions that are perfect for hamburgers.
The Hiroshima Burger also features peanut paste, creating a distinctive flavor.
Mild-Flavored Butter and Cheese
The dairy products come from Sagotani Farm in Saeki Ward, Hiroshima City. The butter and mozzarella cheese, produced from cows raised on the farm’s own pasture, are characterized by their mellow and mild flavor.
A Patty That Maximizes the Meat’s Umami
The patty is made from 100% Hiroshima beef. By using no binders and fresh, daily-ground meat, you can directly savor the juiciness, savory aroma, and the meat’s natural umami.
