The cyclist-oriented complex facility “ONOMICHI U2” located in Onomichi will celebrate its 10th anniversary since its opening in March 2024 by hosting an anniversary event.
ONOMICHI U2, which opened on March 22, 2014, will kick off its 10th-anniversary commemorative event from March 20th (Wednesday) this year, with events planned throughout the year.
The event will feature special talks by architects involved in the design and spatial design of the facility, as well as limited sales of U2 collaboration T-shirts designed by artists from Fukuyama City.
On weekends, there will be markets by local producers from Onomichi and the Seto Inland Sea region, as well as special corners where visitors can arrange their favorite blends of herbs and tea.
Special 10th-anniversary projects will also be launched at the facility’s cafes, restaurants, and shops.
The first phase of the event will run until March 24th (Sunday). The second phase is scheduled to be held from late April onwards.
