The 2024 Illumination Road Kure will light up Kuramoto Street in the heart of Kure City, Hiroshima Prefecture, from Friday, December 20, 2024, to Sunday, January 19, 2025.
Marking its 17th year, this iconic illumination event transforms “Kure” into a magical wonderland, inviting visitors to enjoy a picturesque stroll under enchanting lights.

While last year’s event was limited to Tsudoi-no-Hiroba (Gathering Plaza), this year’s festivities expand to include Geijutsu-no-Hiroba (Art Plaza), covering two blocks in total.
The opening ceremony is scheduled for 5:00 PM on Friday, December 20, with a variety of fun activities planned to celebrate the occasion.
