This year, 10,000 fireworks! “2025 Hiroshima Minato Yume Fireworks Festival”

The “2025 Hiroshima Minato Yume Fireworks Festival” will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the Hiroshima Port 10,000-Ton Pier in Ujina, Minami Ward, Hiroshima City.

This year’s show will feature 10,000 fireworks—one of the largest in Hiroshima!

As one of the largest fireworks festivals in Hiroshima City, the event attracts approximately 450,000 visitors each year. With the theme of a “Fireworks Museum,” the festival will present a spectacular program of ten themed firework series and a special memorial display. Expect stunning and dynamic fireworks choreographed to music, including luxurious 10-inch shells and marine fireworks launched from the sea.

Last year, the festival returned after a five-year hiatus with approximately 6,500 fireworks. This year, the number increases to 10,000 for an even more spectacular show.

Use public transportation to access the venue

Please note that no parking will be available around the fireworks launch site, so visitors are encouraged to use public transportation. Shuttle buses will run from Hiroshima Station and from the Yano, Kumano, and Yakeyama areas. Additionally, the Hiroshima Electric Railway (Hiroden) will operate special tram services from Kamiyachō-nishi Station starting at 5:00 p.m.

After the event, trams and bus stops typically become extremely crowded, and it may take a long time to return home. We recommend arriving and departing with plenty of time to spare.
