Experience and join a traditional dance from the famous tourist destination Miyajima! “An Evening of Miyajima Odori”

“An Evening of Miyajima Odori” will be held on August 17 (Sunday) and 18 (Monday), 2025, on Miyajima, one of Hiroshima’s most iconic tourist destinations.

Boasting a history that dates back to the Edo period, the “Miyajima Odori” is designated as an Intangible Folk Cultural Asset of Hatsukaichi City. This traditional dance event invites not only local islanders but also tourists to join in and dance together. Held on Mikasanohama Beach, it has become a beloved summer tradition that brightens Miyajima every year.

In addition to the “Miyajima Odori,” the program will also feature other performances such as the “Suzume Odori,” “Miyajima Shakushi Odori,” and the popular children’s dance “Anpanman Ondo.”

Spectators are welcome, and anyone can join in the dancing.
The event is scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM.
If you’re visiting Miyajima that day, why not end your trip by enjoying these traditional dances in a magical evening atmosphere?
