Starting Friday, November 22, 2024, the popular tourist attraction Orizuru Tower, located in Naka Ward, Hiroshima, will host a special event titled “Advent of Sweet Christmas: Countdown to Christmas with Sweets.”
The rooftop observation deck, offering breathtaking views of Peace Memorial Park and the Atomic Bomb Dome, will feature a massive “Candy House” photo booth measuring approximately 2.4 meters tall and 2.7 meters wide. Adorned with colorful and whimsical candy-themed decorations, the spot is perfect for capturing festive holiday memories.
On the 12th floor’s Orizuru Plaza, visitors will find a giant Christmas tree-shaped advent calendar. Each day during the countdown period, participants can open a candy-filled box, with only 100 boxes available daily. This exclusive experience is limited to those who purchase a ticket for the “Orizuru Wall.”
In December, Santa Claus will make special appearances at Orizuru Tower on weekends and on December 24th and 25th. Visitors who encounter Santa can enjoy photo opportunities to commemorate the occasion.
During the event, “Akushu Café Organic” will offer a Christmas-themed menu, including hot cocoa to warm you up on the chilly observation deck and classic popcorn with new flavors made from organic cocoa powder—perfect treats for the holiday season.
Additionally, limited-edition capsule toys featuring original “Macaron Sticky Notes” will be available for purchase. Families can also participate in a delightful activity to capture their children’s growth with “Handprint & Footprint Painting.”
Orizuru Tower transforms into a Christmas wonderland, providing a magical experience for visitors to create lasting memories in one of Hiroshima’s most beloved tourist destinations.
