On May 12, 2024 (Sunday), the 18th Miyajimaguchi Sozoro Aruki Marché will be held at the square and other areas around the Miyajimaguchi Passenger Ferry Terminal, which serves as the gateway to the tourist destination of Miyajima.
The theme of this marché is “Enjoy with Family.” Delicious gourmet food and baked goods booths will be set up, along with fun workshops at the children’s play area booth, and live music performances featuring children. There will be plenty of enjoyable activities for everyone to participate in.
Various shops in the Miyajimaguchi shopping street are also planning special events to coincide with the marché. For example, at the “Miyajima Sunbake Taigendo Salon,” families can enjoy sandbaking experiences together. Additionally, at the “Takatsudo” shop for momiji manju (maple leaf-shaped cakes filled with sweet bean paste), customers who purchase over 1500 yen worth of momiji manju will receive one seasonal limited edition “sakura-an” (cherry blossom flavored sweet bean paste) for free.
